I signed up for a trial membership and they added an unauthorized charge to my debit card immediately-causing funds on that card to be locked up and other transactions unpaid, thus causing NSF and late fees. The amount should not be much to them, but to me, it made a huge difference in my budget, even further causing me anguish due to the fees I mentioned. They would not refund-under any reason and said I had ample time to cancel the "extended"membership—also said I agreed to it, although there was nothing stated as such on the original sign up page. I believe they addended a page afterwards to show that's how they do this/Why would I buy a $2 dollar trial membership, and immediately sign up for an extension? I didn't cancel the extension, because I was un-aware of what they did until I tried to use my debit card to pay a bill. I went back and forth (after waiting for days for them to answer my e-mail about the issue) with them, let them know I was still raising two kids, sick with chemo treatments and the added stress wasn't good for me, so $20 (the amount of unauthorized charge) plus the fiasco in fees they caused, had really hurt me. They wouldn't refund it under ANY circumstances and basically said, "too bad" and that I agreed to the extended membership (although I never used it) the money belongs to us! This post, is my only recourse—to let others know of how shoddy and unscrupulous this company is.
