Do not trust Direct Commerce Academy. They are a fraudulent company. I agreed to them taking out $2.97 out of my bank acct. To find that 5 days later they took out an unauthorized charge of $139.95. I called right away and they said it was in the terms and conditons. I did not see anything stating I had 5 days to respond or I would be charged this amt. I pleaded my case and I was first told I would be refunded only $70. I didn't agree to this so they said I would be refunded in 7-10 business days the full amount of $139.95. I even rec'd a e-mail comfirming the refund auth. I called them several times and each time they said it was in process. I called yesterday 10/15/10 because they said if the refund wasn't in my bank acct.By then to call. Surprise, Surprise! I spoke to "Joe, " and he said they were just notified the day before of the refunded being denied by the finance dept. Of the "terms & conditions". I totally lost it with him. I asked him why was I being told I'd get a refund for the last 10 days. Of course he had no answer, just kept appologizing and told me to wait 24 hrs because he would give me something for free that would cost $50. I went back online this morning only to find all of these complaints. Do not trust these people. Call your bank immediately to file a dispute against them and to cancel your debt/credit card. They'll send you a new one so they can't take out more money. The odds are you'll get your money back since it's fradulent. Sad that theres people out there taking advantage of people struggling financially during these tough times.
