I have been a "verified" member for over 2 years, they have had no issues transferring money out of my bank account for those 2 years for items that I purchase. I recently sold some items to a person and they paid me using paypal. I tried to transfer the money into my bank account the very same account they have been taking money out with no complaints for 2 years, now they decide that "verified" doesn't really mean that and that I need to jump through a bunch of hoops to "verify" who I am.
They told me they can take up to 180 days to confirm the information that they had me fax over to them. They have $6800.00 of mine and they can hold it for 180 days. The truly crappy part is that the buyer wants their stuff and paypal told them that I have the money so I should ship right away. I am wary of sending out $6800.00 worth of merchandise with no guarantee that I will get the money. But I will ultimately end up shipping because it's not the buyers fault they fulfilled their end of the transaction. So beware of paypal they are more than happy to take but don't ask for them to give.
