Hello online buyers,
I wanted to inform every one how amazon.co.uk is trying to cheat us off our money.
I was intrested in a video game (Battlefield: Bad Company 2) for my PS3 console so I looked it up at amazon.co.uk as well as other places. They had the lowest price 29.91GBP to be exact. When I added the item to my basket the price went to 31.31GBP which was fine because of the shipping and handling cost. So I placed the order and I checked out. The total cost was 31.31GBP to be payed so I gave the credit card number and all was good.
The following day I received an email from amazon.co.uk that my order was shipped at the price of 38.05GBP!
I emailed them asking why the price went up since I placed the order with the 31.31GBP price. They responded that it was due to VAT (taxes).
So my question is... Shouldn't the taxes be included at the total price when you check out the item? Shipping costs are added so why don't you show me the final price when I check out? When I ordered the item the TOTAL cost which I had to pay was 31.31GBP. Why raise the price afterwards the deal is made? They should at least email me to ask me if I agreed.
Of course when I asked them these questions I got no reply...
I buy online often and this is the first time the price changes AFTER the check out. Great way to do business amazon.co.uk. I know its not a large ammount but still why cheat and rip me off like that? At least with 7GBP I got to see what lying cheaters they are.
