Inc. Dell has cost me 1 year of my life dealing with their horrible service

I wish I knew about this website before I bothered purchasing a Dell. I will never again in my lifetime buy any Dell product. I have told many associates and friends about the horror Dell has put me thru. Gladly, they all listened and seeing Apple G5s on their desks in place of the Dells confirms it.

I purchased my first lemon Dell Jan 29. I was on hold for almost 2 hours before an awful, inpatient, negligent, unruley India sales rep answered. Not only was this sales rep rude and trying to rush the sale, but yet also ignorant and lacked knowledge in the products he sold. I was very suspicious after hanging up that day. His ignorance and attitude gave me that feeling that I might not be getting what I purchased

Come to say 2 days later I called back to confirm exactly what the order was and as expected, a lot of it was incorrect! I was to have pentium 4 2.5 ghz processor, but he ordered it as a 2.0. I was also to have 512 mb of memory, but yet rec 256. I insisted on paying extra to have the computer shipped faster and the rep said it will be included and shipped within 3 days and I should rec it in a wk. That wasn't so either. I called them back explaining what was wrong about the computer and they told me that it's too late to change to the correct order and I need to wait 2 more wks until I get the computer, then send it back and then reorder. Worse yet... The computer wsa still being put together and yet they refused to change that.

Now to the point when I rec the awful piece of crap. First, the printer was completely wrong. The sales rep did not care at all. With my black colored computer, they sent a girlish lite purple color printer that I did not order at all. I ordered a printer that looked more neutral and matched the computer. That cost me 2 wks of battling on the phone with Dell to have them change it. What made me even more angry was Dell telling me that there's no difference from the 2.0 and 2.5. Well... I don't know about you, but just looking at those... Hmm they are 2 completely different figures. That's like saying there's no difference in H2O and H2O2. Although most people know that there is. Hydrogen Peroxide vs. Water. I guess if it doesn't matter to you which one you're served at a restaurant then you must be brave and stupid.

Now onto one of the biggest issues ever dealing with Dell. It is primarily the awful tech support (which we all know does not exist) that really makes me mad and disgusted. I am so fed up with dealing with stupid, ignorant India reps who don't speak a word of english properly and seriously lack knowledge in what they are paid to do. They are rude and they refuse to give you their employee Id when you request. They also refuse to transfer you to the Mgr when you request. Worse yet, they hang up on you all the time if they don't want to fix the problem. That is unacceptable. They know they can get away with it. Majority of the time, they end up making the problem worse rather than fixing it. They cost Dell more money because they don't fix the problems. And when they do, it's the wrong way and thing to be fixed.

An example. I had to keep reinstalling windows xp about 6 times in 2 months. I know all about reinstalling xp, reformatting my hard drive and opening a DOS to to a complete debug. I have all the debug codes memorized because I've done it so many times. I never need to call the ignorant tech support on how to do any of that. But, after it's reformatted and I put the xp cd in to do a complete clean installation, I will get this warning pops up stating that it can't load nor find different. Dll files and everytime it says that, there's about 6 different. Dll files it wont load.

When it started happening back in August, I called the nightmere tech sprt in India and they insisted it's normal and I did not need those. I knew that was not so. Any 1st grader could tell you that. My comp crash and was corrupted within days after that. So I do the same process again again. The third time, not only did it flash the warnings re: the. Dll files not being found, but also said the cd appears to be corrupted.

I then called sprt again to tell them to send me another xp reinstallation cd because this one is corrupted. The stupid India person isisted it wsa my hard drive and not the cd, and I kept telling it is only the cd and my hard drive is fine. So she kept insisting on replacing my hard drive. I really didn't care because my warranty covered it anyway. But I'm an honest person and I knew it was not the hard drive, but yet the cd. It even said so on the screen.

I then told she can send the tech here with the replacement hard drive, but I do need the replacement cd. She then said she will send the cd also.

It's 4 days later and the tech brings the hard drive and installs it. It was suppose to have all my default out of the box programs and xp installed already, but as figured it wasn't so. I then had to reinstall xp, but yet didn't have the new reinstallation cd. So I gave it a try anyway with the corrupted cd, just get the same results again.

2 more days go by and I call to ask where the replacement cd is. As figured, she did not even bother placing the order for that. That made me so damn mad. I told her then that I can't use the computer because the hard drive they sent did not have windows installed on it as promised. I also stated that I want my other cds replace also since they too were giving me problems.

I specifically stated that I need the windows xp, office xp, Dell deminsion resource, and application cds, and the cyberlink cd replaced. Aa expected 1 wk later it arrives and I get the xp cds, but not the others.

I have had so many more problems than this with Dell, but I've typed enough for now. I have even worse issues with Dell than this.

I will never again buy and Dell product, nor invest in the stock for the rest of my life.
