I wish I had read the experiences of others before lettting Omnitech take my money. Here's the deal: They will offer you 15 min free to solve your computer problem, but it consists of a sales guy connecting to your commputer and wandering around doing nothing until the time expires. Then comes the heavy duty sales pitch. Ask for the agreemnt in writing and you'll hear its a "special deal" and the confirmation email will spell it all out, AFTER you pay - a complete lie.
They do have a warrenty that says you can get your money back if you are not happy - I made them show it to me - but just try getting your money back.
After 2 hours of incompetent "senior technicians" taking over my computer, nothing was fixed. They wanted to keep working as I slept. Now, I'm foolish sometimes, but not completely brain dead. Let a man i've never met wander around with acess to all my files as I sleep? Not happening.
The next day i was able to solve the problem myself, so I called Omnitech to get a refund. The warrenty clearly states that if they didnt solve the issue, you get all your money back, which in my case was $199. The man I spoke to wanted to connect me with their senior technician. I said no, i want to cancel not deal with the techs again. Finally, he said he would cancel it and call me back in two days to confirm. Two days later, nothing. I called again and literally had to spend 30 min on the phone because the rep wanted me to give them one more chance. Two days more, still no refund. I will give it one more try and let you know what happens, but the bottom line is, stay away from Omnitech!
