Brian W. Gortney II President/CEO of
PANNEX CORPORATION was charged with 14 counts of computer fraud, one count of attempting to commit computer fraud, 16 counts of credit card fraud and one count of satellite card fraud.
The indictment alleges that Brian W. Gortney II, a former employee and software installer at PANNEX CORPORATION, used the Internet to access the credit card information of businesses for whom he installed Syncronics "Counterpoint" credit card software, a program sold by himself. When installed, the software allows a business to process, validate and transmit the credit card data of its customers.
If convicted, Brian W. Gortney II President/CEO of
PANNEX CORPORATION a maximum sentence of five years for each of the computer fraud counts, 10 years for each of the credit card fraud counts and 15 years for the satellite fraud count.
