I got married in 2002. I decided to have my dress made, and bought the fabric from Anjoorian Silks (found the merchant on line). The first seamstress did not work out, so Judith Brooks (owner) offered to make the dress for me.
I wasn't sure how it would work because I lived in PA and she was in TX. Ms. Brooks assured me it would be fine, that she had over 20 years experience. To make a long story short, the dress arrived four days before the wedding and the bottom hem did not even touch the ground. I called Ms. Brooks and she told me she would give me a full refund—we even discussed a payment plan since she could not afford to issue the full refund at one time. I then had to go out and buy another dress at the last minute.
After the wedding, however, Judith Brooks at Anjoorian Silks reneged and refused to issue the refund. She does not even dispute the fact she said she would give it to me. I would take this to small claims court, but I cannot since I am so far from Texas.
