I purchased a 2-piece wedding dress from www.nicolematernity.com (order# 83473) and when it arrived, it did NOT look like the photo on their website. I promptly placed a 2nd order for the same dress (#83486) in a larger size, hoping that would resolve the issue. The main issue is that the dress is pictured as an off-shoulder dress. It is 100% NOT an off-shoulder dress. They also concealed a hideous seam that runs directly across the front of the dress.
Customer service agreed to refund the price of the first dress. Being that I was short on time, I did not want to chance the return and wait period for the 2nd dress.
The 2nd dress arrived and was worse than the first. The seam around the middle was completely mismatched. One side of the dress was visably longer than the other. The dress was STILL not an off-the-shoulder dress. The lining of the dress was shorter than the smaller version. There was a now a huge seam in the middle of both sleeves of the new dress. I took the dress to several local tailors who advised me to return the dress and get a refund. They quoted me double and triple the dress cost to alter the dress to look like the photo that was on their website. I contacted their customer service ONE DAY after receiving the 2nd dress and requested a full refund. Please note the dress has original tags and original shipping/packing materials. I was told that because of their return policy, I would only be given a store credit in the amount of the dress.
I explained that the dress was of poor quality, and that I had already purchased the SAME dress and did not have the time or patience to mess with yet another dress with my wedding less than 2 weeks away.
The quality was bad in the first two. Why would I want to gamble with a store credit or yet another replacement? I would very much like a refund in the amount of the dress: $163.28
