This company, offered to do a Diet Review site for me and pay me $20 for each and every signup they would get for further information from a prospect who would request it.
All that was required from me was to get a domain name and pay for hosting thru PowWeb for a year, obviously they make money from PowWeb as an affiliate. They in turn would setup the site with the diet offers with my domain name, all i had to do was drive traffic to it.
I had spent approximately $1000 in Pay Per Click advertising and other avenues of marketing in the last year
I had a commission coming in october for $260 they have a $250 threshold, which means it took me 10 months to hit the threshold, i was expecting a payment, when low and behold they found an invalid click from way back in april, thus lowering my payout too $240 which is below the threshold of $250, it made me very suspicious
I sent them an email informing them that my domain name is up for renewal in december and that i would not be renewing and that i would like my commission i even was willing to negotiate it down to $220, if they would just pay me and no response from them at all
This could be a scam since it is difficult to hit the threshold of $250 and you have no control over anything, it is their word against yours
I know for a fact the companies they are representing are paying $30 to $50 per lead, it is called CPA which i am familiar with
My next step will be to contact the companies they are representing and inform them of how their product is being presented. I am sure the reputable companies will drop them
