Advance tar repair, Tricked into buying full version

Hello,

We had an issue with one of our backups being corrupted I googled for solutions on reparing this file and stumbled upon Datanumen's website. I downloaded their trial and tried the demo version which claimed would fix our backup file, but we needed to purchase the full version to do so. We went ahead and purchased the full version for $149.00US only to find out that we were lied to. We have contacted everyone over and over, even the CEO. We continue contacting regarding a refund as their software is nothing but a scam, I was told we would get a refund within 24 hours TWO WEEKS ago, every time we contact them we get:

Tony C: Hi

You are now speaking with Jason of Support.
Tony C: Hello Jason

Tony C: We gave you guys the benefit of the doubt

Tony C: Where is our refund?

Jason: Thank you for contacting Datanumen, this is Jason here.

Jason: Can you please give me the ticket reference number please?

Tony C: I dont have my ticket number

Tony C: * is our company
I am sure you remember who we are

Tony C: You promised us a refund 2 weeks ago,

Jason: Please spare me a moment while I check for an update.

Tony C: Lol.

Tony C: Ok.

Jason: Thank you for waiting.

Tony C: Ok, what is the update?

Jason: It is still with our account department, and the decison about the refund is still pending.
Tony C: I thought you said it would take 24 hours?

Jason: Be patient, or else you will get no refund.

Tony C: Patient? We have been asking for weeks now... You keep delaying us hoping we would forget about it? How do you live knowing you scam innocent people of their hard earned money?

Anyway, I doubt they plan on issuing anything, we will be filing a charge back today. PLEASE, if you would like to save your money. Look elsewhere. You will not get what you pay for here, nothing at all. So by entering your credit card number you are basically signing up to giving away free money to these people. I emailed the CEO and got one response saying, after that nothing. There is no one you can escalate this to, i am sure there is probably only one person behind this.

Please think twice.

Thank you
