Ripoff stole my money

GoDaddy.com Took my money... Never gave me my domain name... Giving me the runaround refunding my money Scottsdale, AZ Scottsdale Arizona...

It all started on June 17th. I tried purchasing a domain name through this company. I was purchasing a.Biz that was on sale. I entered all of the information for the purchase and my credit card number. Once the credit card was processed, instead of seeing a thank you for your purchase... An error screen popped up and stated there was an error with the transaction. It also stated I would be contacted within 24/48 hours regarding the error message.

I thought ok, I have purchased from them (earlier in the month) before and I didn't have any problems, I thought the same would happen with this. The next day, Nothing! I emailed them because I noticed the charge went through on my credit card, but I did not receive my domain name. No email - nothing. So... I contacted them asking what happened. The first person told me - send or fax a copy of the credit card statement / domain name purchased/transaction number so they could look at it.

I emailed them with a response and sent a copy (attachment) of my credit card statement along with the email so they could see the charge on my card. Then I get a response of we give no refunds it states it on our website. They tell me they can not refund my money because the domain name is purchased with the registrar once the transaction is completed. Ok... One problem with that... When I check through their search box to see if the domain name I was trying to purchase was available or not... I found out it was still available for purchase. So...

I know the domain name wasn't purchased with the registrar because it was still available for purchase by consumers. I tried to explain that to them in my next email. I asked for them to please research the transaction before spewing policies from their site. I sent with my email proof of the charge again so they could see it. It has a date, time, amount and transaction number so they can research it. I can not imagine that a company would have money come into their accounts without some sort of name, address, date and domain name purchased. If not then they need to update their accounting systems.

So the final response I get is... We can't find the transaction you are talking about and if it did occur we will refund the money once we reconcile our accounts. I don't get a date of when that is... Just a generic message. I am getting tired. I realize that the transaction was for $5.95. But I didn't receive the product and it has been 6 days since I purchased the domain. I am getting the runaround because of policies. I am an accountant. I understand the practice of keeping money as long as you can to collect the interest. But what I can't understand is taking someone's money... Not giving them the product they purchased... And then not caring about resolving the problem.

No sorries - no we will look into it - Just so sad we don't refund and we can't find you in the books - send us more information please. What bothers me is that they don't seem to want to resolve it or help because the transaction is only $5.95. I am irritated and telling people to not purchase from GoDaddy.com because the customer service is poor. All I am asking for is give me my product I purchased on the 17th or give me a refund. Plain and simple.
