I recently received a text message from SoLow.com saying they were charging me $9.99 monthly and to cancel text back STOP. Because I did not sign up for anything, I texted right away for them to cancel. When I received my cell phone bill I was charged the $9.99 I thought I cancelled. I looked up SoLow.com online to find out a customer service number and found 877-402-3687. After calling and not getting anyone I made sure this was cancelled for good and sent an email to [email protected] expecting the charges to be reversed. I also spoke with Verizon Wireless who let me know I was charged a Premium Text Message. They were able to put a block on this for me however are unable to offer the refund which is understandable, it is not their fault. I now need to resolve the issue with SoLow.com. Please be careful, the Verizon employee told me they are sneaky with having you enter your phone number to receive results from an online quiz you may have taken on Facebook, Myspace etc. I have neither accounts with these social networking sites and somehow still was scammed and a little side note, I do not even have a text messaging plan on my wireless plan so why would I sign up for something that involves texting. Who knows if I will receive a refund, it is the principle that I never signed up for anything. Hopefully by me posting this and word of mouth I can prevent others from this horrible scam.
