When I signed up with First Index they promised they would only send RFQ's to 3-5 vendors. After sending many quotes out and being unable to win more than $800 in work over 4 months, I became suspicious. I talked to some of the customers I was quoting and they reported to me that they were getting 20 quotes through First Index. They complained that they were inundated with quotes and didn't even have time to read them, much less respond to vendors.
When I confronted the reps at First Index about this, they lied about it and told me it wasn't true. When I named the names of the companies, they admitted to it.
I told them they were in breach of contract since it was stated on their website (they have since changed it, but I made a copy of it first) their policy of sending RFQ's to a limited number of vendors.
It's quite a racket they have going!
