Around August I searched the internet high and low for the best deal I could find on shopping cart software. I looked at many of the 'monthly payment' carts, some of the free carts and then found Turnkey's Sun Shop cart. After careful consideration I went with the Sun Shop cart (back then it was version 3.5) My internet business was started!
I had very little trouble getting it set up with my GoDaddy hosting account but when I did have issues, I called and the guys were quick to help. Once the 4.0 cart came out, I got more serious about my internet business and it started to grow rapidly. I had a couple issues setting up my shipping modules for UPS and FedEx... They just wouldn't work. The guys at Turnkey would blame it on GoDaddy and the guys at GoDaddy said it's probably in the cart. Well... After doing so research I found out that GoDaddy blocks almost all their ports on shared hosting so it wouldn't allow those modules to work. I could either insert a script (which GoDaddy provides) or move my hosting account to a virtual dedicated server. Since I'm a reseller for GoDaddy and I get things at cost, I opted for the latter and upgraded to a VD server for quicker page loads and less hassles. The cart and all the modules worked like a champ and my sales started to accelarate! When talking to customers and even 'friendly competition', they always comment on how nice my site looks. I always tell them I can't take the credit because my site is based on a shopping cart and all I do is add the text and graphics.
I currently have version 4.1.9 (the latest) and just started a second site (www.amishchoppers.com) with another Sun Shop cart because I have had such success with the first cart. I had some issues with this install and Turnkey was quick to respond to my emails with support, even on the weekend!
To sum things up, I feel Turnkey Web Tools is definitely GUILTY of having a great cart at a great price and providing speedy service when I needed help. Although they didn't seem to be fans of GoDaddy, I'd still buy more carts from them.
