I was told that the wireless coverage would include my area when I purchased the broadban service from a Circuit City Verizon outlet, but it did not. They would not cancel my contract and offered to suspend the service for six months which they said the service would be avaiable by then in that area. It was not after six months and they resumed my billing process and refused to cancel my subscribtion even when I cannot use the service. They are demanding a $150.00 termination fee, plus adding a $60.00 montly fee to my account. I also had a cell phone account with them since 2005 they offered to change my cell account to the broadband account and that would eliminate the termination fee. I specifically ask if that would change my contract terms on the cell account, they told me it would not as I had no contact time left on that account and the only thing they would change is my cell phone number. AS i call them one day later that the cell phone coverage was not any better and had enough of their faulty products and wanted to cancel they said I could not as I had just enrolled in a new two year contract and that would cost me $150.00 termination fee. Can anyone believe this from a major company establishment doing business this way in the USA? We are in trouble.
