In leiu of their 14 day policy for returns, I believe anyone who buys at this company's website should treat all items as if they came from a Flea Market you visited on your long trip of life, one that you will never see again after making your purchase so you treat all items puchased as a gamble with your hard earned money and only make the purchase if you can afford to lose.
If the items are pennies on the dollar, then maybe an acceptible risk, but if any other e-tailer has the similiar item and is a reputable company, one with a clear warranty statement and allows returns, when neccessary, and the price is compairable, make the purchase there... Saving a few dollars isn't worth your sanity...
Some companies expect Buy.com to honor the warranty of their products and will ague with you to return to buy.com, I can hear buy.com chuckling now...
[tried to link to buy.com on form but it was buy.com and some magazine fraud, sounds different to me]
