I liked the idea of an internet service that was reasonably priced. However, if I knew in advance that I would have so much trouble - almost on a daily basis, I would have NEVER signed up for such irritation!

When the installer came out and had to try no less than 3 - that's right THREE different modems strait out of the box just to get ONE of them to work. I should have known I would be in for trouble.

When I got home every day I had to unplug the power supply to the modem and let it come up again just to get an internet connection!

And when I did finally connect to the internet, I was unable to get my emails because "someone" at COMCAST had changed my passwords more than once. This was the one piece of useful information I was able finally able to get out of their so called "TECH" on the last day of my service'.

I told the tech to cancel my service and I jerked to modem from the wall and dropped it on their public counter the next day along with a check for the final amount due. Cancel my service I said on the 31st of January.

This should have been the end of it. However, it seems that COMCAST gets its kicks by continuing to irritate their former customers as well. A full month later I was receiving phone calls from their Collections Department asking me to pay for internet service as if I still had such.

The first time it happened I laughed openly and then patiently explained to the caller that not only do I no longer have their internet service, I no longer have their cable modem to get same! This seemed to satisfy the first caller but, the calls never ended. I was even threatened by one of their representatives with claims against my credit record! Talk about Gaul!

Tonight I received another call from one of their minions. When he was unable to answer my questions he promised to have his supervisor call me within the next 30 minutes. That was now over 2 hours ago. The one positive thing I can say about them is that their consistent!
