On 07/21/00 I purchased a Compaq Presario 5000 computer at a Staples store in Saratoga Springs, New York. I stated to the salesperson ID #106340 that the only way I would buy one is if I could get a "No question asked and in home service policy" he said sure. So I went ahead and purchased the computer along with a $189.99 insurance policy for 3 years coverage.
On 04/07/03 I spilled a drink on the keyboard. When I went to Staples in Saratoga Springs, to replace the keyboard I was given a 1-800-551-5453 number to call. So, I called the 800 number. They gave me a case #916455 and a contact number #E29450165. I explained what had happen to the keyboard.in a short time the return my call and informed me that my keyboard wasn't cover under the insurance plan (COMPUTER PROTECTION PLANS). I have since purchased another keyboard.
I would suggest to anyone reading this message to be very careful purchasing a computer and insurance from Staples Stores. And the best suggestion I could give to you is FIND ANOTHER STORE... I will.
