I have evidence that HP is programming ink cartridge premature failures. C7280 printer with new cartridges show empty shortly after install - used twice (this had a warrenty stamp on cartridge of Aug). The cartridge was then replaced with another new one and error message cleared; I then reinstalled first cartridge that I described and it then worked fine and is still working after a month. This is clearly a rip-off and I need to find what I can do about this other than replacing printer as HP service suggests.
