I purchased Christian Dior eyeglasses and paid a total of $187.90 for them. I paid for gift wrap and express shipping so they would arrive in time for Valentine's Day. When I finally received the eyeglasses (they were 3 days late) they were NOT gift wrapped and were very dusty and seemed old. I did not pay to have lenses put in the glasses because I needed to get my eyes checked anyway. I brought the frames with me to the Optometrist 1 week later. The frames had not been taken out of the box since I received them. The Optometrist took the frames and slightly turned them towards him and they just snapped in half at the bridge of the nose. The Optometrist handled the frames right in front of me and I saw that he used hardly any force, definitely not enough to snap the glasses in half. The Optometrist explained to me that he thought the frames were old and brittle and to talk to the place where I bought them.in the mean time, the Optometrist offered cheaper replacement frames.
That same day I called Decor My Eyes and explained to a girl that answered the phone my situation. She was very rude. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. She placed me on hold for over 30 minutes and no one ever picked up. I called back again and spoke to another girl who was much nicer and very helpful. She pulled up my account information and saw that the frames were barely even 2 weeks old. She explained to me that she was going to inform the manager and he would be contacting me within the hour. 3 hours later, I called back. To my surprise the owner, Stanley Bolds, answered the phone. Bolds was already made aware of my situation and before I could even get a word in he told me he was going to email me a receipt. When I asked why he was going to do that he said, "Because you're going to have the Optometrist pay you back for the frames." I then explained to Bolds that I was present when the Optometrist handled the glasses and I assured him that he was not liable. I explained to Bolds that the frames seemed brittle and old. I asked him if he could go through Dior to see if they could possibly solve this problem. He then informed me that he does not go through any companies and that he goes through various "vendors" which made me think that the products he is selling are not genuine. Bolds quickly started to lose his patience. Bolds began to get angry and raise his voice. I calmly asked Bolds if he could please lower his voice and remain professional because I was simply just trying to find a solution to this problem. Bolds explained to me that he would not do anything to help me and that if I wanted new glasses that the only person who would be paying for it should be the doctor. I then asked Bolds, "Do you stand by the quality of the products you sell?" He laughed and simply stated, "No." I was shocked. I then told him that I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and report him. He lost it. He began screaming at me over the phone saying, "You f*ing bitch! I'm gonna f*ing kill you! You're such a dumb bitch! I don't give a f* about you or your stupid glasses! You can suck my cock bitch!" I was completely floored! I could not believe what I was hearing! I then said, "Sir, you need to calm down. I was only trying to come to you as a customer with an issue with a product you sold me. I do not want to fight." He then yelled, "F* you bitch. I hope you die you stupid dirty cunt!" I had heard enough. I called him an asshole and hung up the phone.
That same day I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. It has been 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten a response from them. I firmly believe that Stanley Bolds and the website Decor My Eyes are in the business of theft. I do not believe that the products are real and if they are, I believe them to be stolen. I believe that Stanley Bolds is a volatile and violent man that would do anything to keep his cash flow coming in. I hope that people read these articles and spread the word about this company. This will save others from the theft and abuse that many of us have endured.
