V2 Premier, Viscom Technologies Rip-Off selling junk to consumers

Well here is my story: This is the first computer I have every bought. I thought I was getting the best computer deal there was. From the first day the scanner did not work, and the printer did not work. I called a friend that has quite a bit of experience with computers and he uninstalled/reinstalled the printer and scanner and after several attempts got it working.

Several months later the 17 in. LCD monitor went blank. I called up Viscom and was on hold for about 45 minutes before getting to talk to anyone. The person I talked with could hardly speak good English. After going to 2 tech guys they finally decided my monitor was bad. I had to pay shipping on a new one tob be sent, about 50 bucks which I think should have been sent free of charge.

When I received the replacement, it was a defective one, picture off center with metal band exposed down the left side of screen. Another call was made to have this one replaced. I finally get another one that is ok.

Thank God I bought the extended warranty because less than 2 months after the original warranty expired the computer locked up. The mouse wouldn't move, the escape would let me get off and then I tried control/alt/delete still nothing. Had to just shut the power off. Tried to restart it and nothing happened. DEAD!

I called my extended warranty company and explained my problem to them. Talked to level 1 tech, then level 2 tech, finally decided it was the motherboard. They came and replaced the motherboard, it worked except no sound.

The tech ordered another motherboard and still no sound. He said he would file a report to his superiors about the problem. Oh yeah, by the way, my power-up button was sticking to where it was hard to push in the button. I had to play with it for a while to get it to power up.

They sent a new cabinet instead of a replacement button. The tech guy had to put all my works into a new cabinet. They new cabinet had 2 front USB ports but no front speaker or mic jacks (the other one did). The new cabinet has no name on it, I can only find Made in China stamped on it.

The tech guy was getting really frustrated after 2 trips to my house and 5 1/2 working on this piece of junk and still not getting the sound to work. He suggest to me to contact Viscom and tell them my situation. I called back to my extended warranty company and they called to Viscom for a tech guy to call me. He did return the call and had me to go over every thing with him to uninstall and reinstall the sound drivers, (the tech guy had already done all this to no avail).

Now after an hour on the phone with him still no sound, he tells me to run my recovery disk, I tell him I will lose all my pictures and documents and stuff by doing this and it will take me 4 or 5 hours to copy and reload it and he still couldn't guarantee me that my sound would be fixed.

I paid for ONSITE REPAIRS and that is what I expected to get. The tech guy that came to my house said all I needed was an external sound card installed (about 40 bucks) and 5 minutes to install it and I would have sound again. I told the Viscom guy that and said that would be the cheapest and easiet way of fixing it. I have yet to get a response back from my warranty company as to if and when they will do this. I guess I will have to end up buying it and installing it myself.

So much for the extened warranty. If this computer breaks again I guess I will just throw it away and the 2,199 bucks will just have been wasted.

The next computer I buy will be a name brand with good tech support and warranty... I strongly recommend that no one ever by any computer from shop nbc or viscom tech. THEY WILL REALLY BE SORRY FOR DOING IT

Also I would like to add that 2 people I work with bought the same system I did and have had nothing but problems from DAY ONE from the printer not working properly, scanner not working, to the power-up button sticking etc etc.

I just wonder how many people that haven't seen this website have been stuck with the same garbage i bought
