I used the Intelius website to look up a phone number in November and since then I have been billed $19.95 a month (for four months) for an identity protection service. I called customer service and was told that I was automatically signed up for the service and could only be refunded for the the charge in the past 30 days. Only after asking to speak with a supervisor was I told I could now be refunded for charges in the past 90 days. I also asked what the service was and I learned that the service would notify me if someone used the Intelius website to look up my information. However, I did not provide any of my information so the supervisor acknowledged that I was being charged $19.95 a month for nothing. I was refunded for 3 out of the 4 fraudulent charges. I am complaining because Intelius charged me $19.95 a month for a useless service I never signed up for and refused to refund me for all of the charges.
