Support Calls Charging Money and Hanging Up Before A Rep Can Answe

We are a small company and purchased a Ricoh printer about 2 yrs ago. Works great. Until, 2 days ago we were experiencing some problems.

I called Ricoh US support due to an error on our Ricoh 1515mf printer.

# 1-800-22ricoh or 1-800-227-4264

It is answered by automated attendant instructing of a $35.00 fee for utilizing a support call and to have your credit card ready. You go through the prompts for your product type then it asks you to enter in your credit card number. Also, states "do not hang up before you reach an attendant or your card will be charged".

So I entered the card number and proceded to wait on hold. For 35mins and 45secs I was on hold, until a message came up and said, "The person you are trying to reach at this extension is not available". Click... Then hung up.

I was a little pissed but gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried again today. SAME THING!!! You would think a company of its size would have better support.

So now we are going to have to issue chargebacks to our credit card and add more time and effort into getting a fixed printer.
