This company operates scams. The website displays products with in creditable low prices! That should have been my first sign of a RED FLAG! I found a Canon VIXIA HF100 HD camcorder for an in creditable price of $509.00 with No shipping cost for ground shipping! Wow, what a LIE! I placed an order and received a confirmation email shortly thereafter. I then expected to get a shipment email or confirmation of such within the next day or so.
Instead, after almost 3 days of not receiving an email confirmation I called Shop Digital Direct and asked them why my shipment had still not been sent? Victor stated that a rep.By the name of Adam had tried to reach me to confirm my order, "That should have been my next RED FLAG"! I then told Victor that I never received a call and there was no reason to confirm what had I thought had already been confirmed via email shortly after making my order since I did receive an order number after all! Victor stated that they also needed to call me to discuss my order since I the package that I ordered did not come with a battery charger and he was doing me a favor because how I would be able to turn the camcorder on if there was no charge!
Victor then tried selling me several different battery chargers first starting at the most expensive battery charger to then the cheapest battery charger. I told Victor that I did not understand why it was not included in the package and that I wish that I would have order the camcorder from another company! Victor then said that "No company includes the battery charger with the package", which I knew was a lie and then he completed that since he couldn't get a hold of me he already charged by account for the cheapest charger and that I should get my order in 3 days!"I said fine and then called my bank to make sure that this company did not charge my account for anything other than what I was told the cost was!
My bank confirmed that they only took the amount said and then later after still not getting a confirmation email or tracking number, I decided to do a search on "Complaints / Scams of Shop Digital Direct.com" There were so many complaints/rip off reports/scams and etc. That immediately after I called my bank again and asked that they stop the processing of Shop Digital Directs charge/order on my account! I did not get good news, my bank told me because of the contract with them and VISA that they are unable to stop the processing of a pending charge and that they will have to wait until it clears in which after it cleared I could file a report / claim against this company.
I called the company of Shop Digital Direct back and tried to cancel my order, I already knew that they would not cancel my order from the other complaints that I earlier read and I was right cause after asking who ever it was that I was talking to at Shop Digital Direct since the rep would not give me his name even after asking him several times, he just kept arguing with me and insulting me and would not cancel my order!
Finally after the check showed as cleared 3 days later I went down to my bank ASAP and filed the claim to get my money back from these Scam Artist! This is how it works there is a temporary refund of the money from VISA, and then a 90 day investigation before you will hear back on what ever you hear back on! This companies website not only looks professional but their phone lines and automative system sounds professional! I can not believe that this company comes up under so many search engines one of which is Amazon!

The website shows no disclosure of extra fees for items that come included from the manufacturer. Nowhere does it say "battery not included" or "battery charger not included" or "extra battery purchase required" or anything similar. The policies and email receipt make no mention of it either. Also, previous customer reviews suggest that, with all my VISA card information—including my security code—I am now vulnerable to unauthorized purchases as well.
DON'T BE A VICTIM! Don't do business with this company! Stay away from all of these companies... If it is too good to be true IT IS!
