I got up 1/8/09 to check my Wells Fargo checking account only to find an unauthorized charge from a company I had never heard of. Good thing Wells Fargo shows a copy of your checks so I was able to see to whom the check was made payable which was to Payment Systems, a general name.
I called Wells Fargo and they immediately took care of it. They closed the account and opened a new one right over the phone, transferred my automatic payments temporarily and they filed a claim with their fraud department. Wells Fargo may charge you for everything but they sure do come through when you need them to and I have been with with them for over 20 years.
I called ID Safe USA and they cancelled the fraudulent order and claimed they would send me a refund check in 10 business days. After I received this information, I called them back and spoke with a manager named Jean Sanderson who claimed they would send me the information that was provided to them via their website. They spelled my name incorrectly which was odd because I'm very specific about my name since its a common name and they used a phone number I had not had in years.
I did think it may be fraud from another person doing it but the only one who benefits from this is the company since they ripped me off for $295.00. They claimed I was signed up for a lifetime membership for a one time fee. I think it was an advertising ploy of the company, but how they got my checking account number is still a lingering question.
