My son's friend told him about a "cool" online IQ test. My son pulled it up on his cell phone.net use is covered under his plan. Downloads are not - of course.
I got a bill for $9.99 for 11/11 listed as Mobile Messenger: alerts - 44999 Text Alerts.
I called Sprint. This is not a one time charge. I will get billed every month, until I can get this online scam cancelled.
My kid would not give out credit card info and get a bill going like this. Mobile Messenger gets around this security by doing it online and billing through the cell phone instead of direct.
If you Google this, you will find that Mobile Messenger ended up paying out a class action law suit. But, it only runs through on charges up to August. That leaves out the new victims.
You might think that Mobile Messenger would clean it up after getting popped on a law suit. Nope.
You might also think that cell phone companies would block Mobile Messenger. Nope.
Do not play any online IQ quiz/games on your cell phone. You could end up being the dummy and paying about $10 a month to be told that you're smart.
