I have been a member of Sitecube.com for awhile now. A friend of mine is a web master so i had him rebuild my site. Mid- November - I sent a request to Sitecube that I would like my account to be closed. THey closed my account that day. December 1st comes around and my bank account gets deducted $89 for another three months. HUH? I thought I closed my account?!?
So I contacted [email protected] and they said that they will send my request to the "billing team" and that my funds should be refunded within the next three days. Okay, three days comes around - STILL NO FUNDS.
So I went onto their "online" chat and spoke to a man named "Ethan". He said that they will refund the funds back in three days. WHAT? Are you freakin kidding me. I know how Paypal works. You send money and its in the other persons account instantly. So now i'm waiting for my funds - we'll see if they actually refund it back if not - I am going to file a claim against them through Small Claims Court.
I have decided to file a formal compliant against Sitecube.com through Better Business Bureau. If you are having issues with this company - I would do the same as well.
I can't exactly say that this company is a scam becuase they do provide a service to host websites - though I can say that they have questionably billing practices which is most definitely enough to file a government complaint so they can get audited.
