America Online victimized many consumers

I signed up for a "free" trial offer with AOL. Their customer service sucks, their tech support is even worse. When I moved it took me 45 mins to find out they had no local number here, and an additional hour and a half to cancel. Since I was still under the "free" trial I was told I would not be billed. Almost 2 months later I get a bank statement showing that they took out 79.99 not once but three times. I called AOL and they told me that it was cancelled and should not have debited my acct well, on 12-26,1-21 and 1-22 It went thru my bank and my "free" membership wasnt supposed to be over until 2-8. So over a month before my memebership was up I was charged for it. How is this legal. I cant afford to pay for their mistakes, not to mention I shouldn't have too.
