I accessed their service online for free credit report first of April. Agreed to 30 day free trial. Company debited my checking account within free trial period. I called and cancelled by April 25. Customer service representative confirmed would cancel membership and refund $79.95.
As of 08/18 no refund has posted to my checking account. I called CIC Credit Monitor's c/s 800#, was told by rep I would not receive refund as I agreed to terms. He would not even listen to me or transfer me to a supervisor.
I am filing a complaint with South Dakota Attorney General's Office for Consumer fraud. Now also plan to contact CA State Attorney General's office for same. I doubt I will ever see my money again, but lesson learned. Having read this web site and the multiple stories I'm suprised CA has not closed these guys down.
