Call me Mr. Murphy...
Company "sells" software for "instant download" to unlock cell phones for use on other provider's network for "most" major providers. When you select and purchase the software it says you have to wait a few days for the money to clear you account (credit or debit). Charge appears for $14.95 paid to "Web Marketing Consulting or Consultants". Their address and contact info on their site is false. Master Card provided me with a contact number of 202-415-2437 which is a cell phone registered out of Washington D.C. Which I am sure changes on a regular basis. My bank will not refund the charge saying they have verified that I allowed the charge to be made (duh, of course I did).
When you download the file... It is just a shell and is corrupt. Nothing happens. I am making steps to contact the website hosting company and take this issue further. I have worked in credit finance for a five years but apparently I got taken this time. Shame on me.
I plan to do further research and will post results. I also plan on contacting the company that provided them the merchant services and pressing the issue. This intity has built itself quite a name for pulling this stunt over on people for quite a while.
