I responded to an infomercial I saw on TV for the Singer Lazer Storm buy one get one free offer with the steamer machine for $119.85, couldn't go wrong right? WRONG! About 6 weeks later I was charged an initial $193.90 to my credit card, already a bell sounding off in my head that something wasn't right. When the package arrived I had no idea what was even inside the box. It was left my FedEx on my front door step. I do alot of mail order so it could have been anything. I opened the box and it was my 2 vacuums. I was actually pleased with them since they were for 2 college students and would do a nice job for them. However when I began to call about the invoice that was with them for the overcharge my problems began. Being on hold for at least an hour each time was super annoying, then managers are in meetings, then they would have to have FedEx track the package because they knew they shipped 4 vacuums (which is what I was charged for). I was also charged for warranty for 5 years on all 4 vacuums and I never received a steamer for the 2 I did receive. If they sent me 4 vacuums I believe I should have received 2 steamers (which I didn't). The latest phone call today just took the cake. After sitting on hold the typical hour the call was answered and I was told they were not doing customer service today and someone would call me back between 5-6P.M. Today. I said oh, yes, I believe that. Of course they took my name and number for the 5th time (which you know they already have), and I certainly don't expect to hear from them today or anyday. However, little do they know I am persistant and I will call everyday and sit on the phone that 1 hour. I called another number today 1-800-417-7117 which I found at the www.labbb.org (if you are complaining here you should complain there also, it is the better business bureau in CA). I had Linda answer the phone and tell me she could help me only to have her hang up on me. I then called back blocking my number by dialing *67 before the number and I talked with Cindy who apologized for the disconnection and said they could not help me there and would give me a number to customer service. I told her no thank you I already had it and no one would help me there so I would be filing my reports with Rip-off, the better business bureau, and contacting a lawyer. I am currently on hold with another number 1-800-716-8667 to see what happens this time. Never give up and never give in when you know you are right.
