I work for a webhosting company and recommended Pinnacle Cart our client because of it's excellent features. The company however, isn't quite honest. They used to promote Pinnacle Cart as costing a one-time fee of $597. Shortly after my customer purchased the software, a new policy was made that forced existing customer to pay an additional $170/year for updates even though they were never told this when originally purchasing the software! (the old Bait-N-Switch?) Since then, my customer has experienced hackers breaking into the cart through exploits in the code. Pinnacle Cart has refused to provide any patches to solve these problems even though we purchased the cart before the new upgrade policy was in place. For $600, you'd hope they would treat their existing customers a little better.
