I bought a shopping cart software program from Desert Dog Software. The name of the software is Pinnacle Cart. I paid $550 for this software. It is full of bugs and many important features don't work like the shipping feature. This is obviously a very important feature for any company running an online store. They advertise 24 hour customer support. That is not true. What they don't tell is that free phone support is only available for 30 days after your purchase. After that you will need to submit a trouble ticket. After submitting a trouble ticket it often takes 2 or 3 days for an answer. When they do answer, help is minimal and usually consist of one sentence answers. There is always a little note included in the answer stating that you can spend more money and buy phone support. After this goes on for about a week the customer will just give up until the next problem occurs. $500 is a lot to pay for any software, especially for software that doesn't work properly. I consider this a ripoff.
