I was looking on the internet one night in July. I was looking for discount government programs available in Washington state, for my mom-in-law. (she is disabled and finding hard to pay utilities, with high gas prices). The next thing I see is a government grant program.
Hmm, it looked interesting enough, and stated it would download to my computer through the Adobe reader. I installed and stupid me, gave them my bank card info to be charged $2.79. I felt that was fair enough for information I could look into and perhaps get her and myself some financial help.
*Note, that I did see others and they were wanting $18.95 to 195.95 to receive information that should be FREE* I downloaded the info and went to bed.
Many things were going on in my life at the time, and I thought okay I have this now and I can look at later. I was speaking to my sister who told me of this website, due to Kia dealership not standing good on repairs. I was reading some of the reports and noted several complaints filed on this Grant Master, charging $39.95 per month for services, and refusing to refund money. This caught my attention, and I decided to wait for my bank statement to find out if they charged my account.
On August 5 my husband passed away. I have more on my plate than I can handle at this time. I did get bank statement on August 14. I was working on my husbands memorial service and did not have time to contact these people. I took into mind I did receive a CD for further installation, which is still sitting on the desk unopened. I considered the idea that maybe I did not see this statement on the webpage, stating there would be additional fee's.
I thought about it, and remembered there is nothing noting a free 7 day trial, and then the $39.95 per month would be deducted. I contacted them today 9-16-08 after receiving my bank statement and I find this fee of $39.95 charged again, a fee from Business Fund (Phone Number 800-410-1682) for $7.95.
There was another fee for $16.90 from Netzero, who I have never contacted for internet service, and cannot use in the remote area I live in.
I called Netzero and get some foreign speaking man, who tells me I need to call after 5 P.M. Because he cannot hear me through my telephone. I have a brand new telephone and it works just fine. I called back and they did credit the 2 months they charged on my account.
But when I called Easy Grant (phone Number 800-479-0979) I get a woman who kept telling me I had an account and the Business fund is a loan processing company that is a sister company, I kept wondering why I was getting phone calls telling me I had an approved loan of $1500.00 waiting and I need to contact them immediately.
I screen all calls due to the death of my beloved husband, and there are still so many calls coming in I cannot get anything done. I have documents to file everywhere and had to wait over 5 weeks to get a death certificate.
I ignored the loan calls, because I do not need nor want a loan. This woman continues to tell me I have this account and she can even add more to the status of it for certain fees, disregarding the fact of me telling her I do not care to have this account.
I read the internet page when I signed up and it only states I would be charged the $2.79 for the CD and the download. She babbles on not listening to me and again, I am raising my voice to tell her I want my account cancelled and all these others as well, and I want a refund. I even told her I have read several complaints from usacomplaints.com website and I am not pleased with this company charging me for something I have never used. I know that they monitor the accounts, so they can add further charges when necessary.
I get a confirmation number for each of these sister and parent accounts, with her telling me I will be receiving an email confirming such. I began to tell her she needed to send to another email address (I saw an article, stating to keep hackers, spams, and so forth, change your PUBLIC EMAIL address often, such as every 2 or 3 months, to avoid these problems.)
I highly recommend this to everyone I know, since the email address Easy Grant (not saying they gave out) has got into someone's system and I began receiving over 400 emails per day for work at home, grants for schools, selling products, and the best one: People from all over the world sending emails telling me I have family in Alaska and Kenya who were killed in a plane crash and I have several million dollars waiting for me to confirm so I can pick up money. The biggest scam I have ever seen.
I closed this email account last weekend, after reviewing 2000 plus emails and making sure I got the one's I needed.
This woman would not listen to me, she was telling me Goodbye before I could get out of my mouth she would need another address to send confirmation. I immedialtely signed into usacomplaints.com site to let all know this company needs to be investigated and I will again call tomarrow to inform I want my account credited immediately, or I will take further action.
Since I am disabled I have nothing better to do but make companies who rob people of their money miserable, and I plan to do so. I have been victimized by several others and I am tired of allowing such to happen. If more of us stand up for what we feel is wrong we can get action and Easy Grant, Grant Master, Raven Media, and all the sister affiliates I do not stop til I get what I feel is necessary satisfaction. It would be interesting for all that have had this company take your money to stand with everyone else and watch them squirm as they note the status of their company go down the tubes of bankruptcy. This is my plan, to get everyone's money refunded is possible.
