Our company contacted Qwest to have a circuit installed for our Internet Provider Services we provide. Signed a contract that gave a 30 day "grace period". Cancelled order within 15 days of contract signing before date and installation of circuit was to take place and Qwest tells me I will still owe $660 for a "tariff" charge. Why should I have to pay for something that wasn't even installed yet? All I had been given was a "speculative" date that they were shooting for the installation to take place (which was another week away from the date I initially cancelled the order)? When I refused to pay for a service that wasn't even installed yet, they then claimed they will assess the $660 tariff charge to our business phone bill. I pay Qwest dearly each month for several business lines we currently have at our location and have paid dearly in the past to them for their services. I am currently looking into other options (such as going with a wireless phone carrier) to completely get away from them for our business phone needs.
