I ordered a Summer Video Baby Monitor for a baby shower gift in July. Within a week I received what appeared to be a used monitor, very banged up and improperly packaged. I immediately emailed Heather at customer service, who apoligized and promised a replacement would be sent 2nd day air. The shower was three days away. I didn't buy another one because I believed I would receive a replacement. Of course, it didn't come.
On Monday, (after I attended the shower without a gift), I called my credit card company (American Express) and put the charge in dispute. A few days later I received a new monitor, and I sent the other one back. Once Heather heard of the dispute, she would not communicate with me at all. I wanted some form of compensation for the aggravation, time and money spent having to return a defective product. They then submitted me to a collection agency.
My credit card company paid their dispute, and now they have all the money and I am here with a collection agency charge of $43.00. (interest accruing daily). My credit card company is looking into the LACK of customer service digitalgiftstore.com has shown, as well as the retaliation of submitting me to a collection agency. They are launching an investigation into this mean spirited, uncalled for action.in all my experience shopping on the internet, I have never had such an ugly response to customer dissatisfaction. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY from DIGITALGIFTSTORE.com.
