I saw the Billbarnes ad on the internet. I tried their live internet help. Got the owners husband "Alfred". He asked me right away to call in order to assist me faster. He was very good about calling me back within three days to tell me what styles of diamonds he had available. Prices seemed really good. He required the entire amount of the cost of the single diamond ($6100) and the setting price he attached ($450 non refundable), and half of the actual ring ($1200) = $7750 taken out of my credit card account on March 11. Alfred promised the ring to me on time by the date I needed it (April 26th). He told me "oh, yea, plenty of time, no problem, no problem" Fast forward 30 days... I called him on a weekly basis getting an update. His response, "No problem, everything is on track, checking the notes in the computer on a daily basis, I am on top of it." Fast forward, April 17th. This is the date that the ring was suppose to be in my hands so that i could propose to my girlfriend while over seas on vacation. "Alfred, is my ring being shipped? Oh, yea, its here, I am putting a rush on it. YOU WILL have it by April 25th." Guess what, no ring, no tracking number for Fed Ex, no account update, no phone call, no nothing. Called Alfred back on April 25th, "I am so sorry (Alfred), the girl in the shipping dept is in tears, she sent it out two days fed ex and not one days fed ex." I was pissed. Alfred agreed to give me 5% back on the purchase. He agreed to this on April 25th. Guess what, it is now July 23 and I still do not have the refund amount of over $500. Every time I call, his staff states he is busy, he will call back. He never calls back. Why should he? He got my $10500. I got a hold of one of his new people who knew exactly what I was talking about when I tried to explain why I wanted to speak with him. She actually sounded like this was an on going problem with allot of customers regarding Alfred, but would not disclose any info. She was new, how could she possibly understand. But she did. I searched the web and found others in my same situation. It was too late, they got my money. I finally filed a complaint with my credit card company who immediately gave me a credit in the amount of the refund untill they can solve this mystery of why Billbarnes.com wont give me my refund. Oh yea, his wife (the owner) Elizebeth is about as worthless as him in regard to the customer being right. Her email response to me when I tried to by pass Alfred (her husband) was " We are working on your refund." What ever! Do not buy from www.billbarnes.com. I am choosing to leave my full name out of this email due to my credit card company still having my situation with billbarnes under investigation. FYI: Did get the ring the day after I left for the DOM REP. Could not propose to my girlfriend until we got back from vacation. The only good news, she said "yes"
