I recently found the site www.calculatem.com and decided to sign up for one of the sites through which they are affiliated so that I could receive a free copy of their software, which is an odds calculator for Texas Holdem Poker. As directed I used the link from their site to download the poker site software and create a "real money" account. I immediately deposited into this account almost $60. The minimum to get the software was $50 and I eagerly waited the arrival of my license.
A day after my initial deposit was verified and approved by the poker site I still had not received my license. So I got in contact with calculatem.com. A "help ticket" was submitted and I was contacted by one of their staff telling me that "carbon had not confirmed my account yet" and that she was going to "try and manually confirm my account and get back in contact with me".
After a day and a half of waiting I contacted them again via the reply button in my email. I contacted them both because I was getting impatient, and also because I checked the customer service website and my help ticket had been changed to a status of "closed" meaning resolved... Which needless to say I didn't agree with. I explained to them that I had screen shots showing my deposit as well as the bonus code I was told to use by them as being active and that I would happily send those as well as the emails I had from carbonpoker to them. I waited for another day with no reply.
Finally I told them that I was sorry if carbonpoker was given them problems, but that at the end of the day that wasn't my problem and that I would give them 24 hours to send me my license or that I would file a report on this very website. I should also point out that after my first reply to them everything was both emailed and posted as an addition to my help ticket on their website just to be sure they would get it.
After 26 hours I still hadn't received a reply from them. So I contacted them again, this time uploading the screen shots I mentioned earlier as proof that I had done what I was instructed to do on their site and demanded my license. I told them I would give them another 24 hours a s a sign of good faith but that after that I was going to file the report here and also contact the sites they are affiliates with to let them know about the apparently fraudulent means they are using to gain referrals. I haven't done that yet, but I am off to do so as soon as I am done here. Oh, I should also point out that they have apparently completely deleted my help ticket since now when I log in I simply go to a dead blank page.
I normally don't like making a fuss about stuff, but that $60 was no small amount for me. You add to that the fact that I have not received so much as a response to my repeated emails and inquiries indicating a complete lack of any desire to make it right, and I'm now ticked off enough to make a fuss about it. All I can say is if you plan on going to their site, us caution.
I will also send them a link to this complaint in the hopes that it will actually get their attention enough to at least get some sort of explanation, if only in the form of a rebuttal.
