Piece of crap! You can do all of the research on your own. NOT worth the time or $ Phoenix

Worktree.com is a complete ripoff. They say they "find" or have access to "hidden" jobs. What they have, and you don't see it until you pay the unrefundable money, is a website for every company in your area. Anyone who has a limited amount of computer/internet savy can find local company websites. They also provide a download for a "more complete job search" but the software kept bogging up my system and never ran.in either event, they do NOT have access to hidden jobs or any other job you can't access via other job sites (hotjobs, careerbuilder, et al).

Less than 3 hours after paying the $47, I requested a refund because their system was worthless and never worked. The CSR quickly replied with the admonition "Don't even try to call your credit card company because you agreed to the terms of our service which means we will send you to a collection service.." Nice customer service. Threats to ruin your credit because they have a crappy offering.in an "attempt" to woo me back, she offered a free resume blasting service. As I told her, if I was in a restaurant and ordered an appetizer and it sucked, the service sucked, why would I order the entree?!

Following is the email I sent and received from worktree.com's "Customer Service". Please take heed, this company is certainly not worth the money or the hassel. I know only two people have submitted complaints about this company but it's proof positive that you will waste your money and find better results with another job site!

Original message:
I understand your policy and did read it. Even saw a similar complaint on usacomplaints.com. However, I didn't realize that after payment the site pages would actually be that shi*y. I thought they were purposefully made to look like that in an effort to get me to bite at your bait; You know, overwhelm the lookyloo in hopes that subscribing will produce easier to navigate pages and user-friendly results. Congratulations! Well done. I can always contact my credit card company as well as email everyone I know (blogs included) not to use your service and why. Read on for the "why":

It's not just that you won't refund my money, it's that your site is shi*y. It's blatantly created to only offer website links that are not useful or don't set your site apart (in a good way). As a matter of fact, I can't even perform a specific search because your download simply won't work and clogs up my system EVERYTIME. I can go through the Yellow Pages and search all of their websites (probably what your company did). Hell, I already did a Google for Fortune 1000 companies so your link is nothing new or creative for finding the "hidden jobs" in the market that no one else will show you.

As for finding recruiters, already did that so your service is again, nothing special... Especially since I would have to pay extra money for it. As for your other services? If your first service is shi*y, I'm certainly not going to waste time or money on something that is supposed to be premium. If the appetizer sucks, you wouldn't buy the entree, would you?

Maybe if you improved on customer service AND your site. You didn't offer any assistance with my original problem which is the download for actually searching specific jobs. You just went straight for the "Oh crap, I will NOT refund your money regardless of the reason." It would have been nice if you had asked what problems I was receiving with the download so that we could troubleshoot. Remember, your title "Customer Relations Manager" actually says CUSTOMER RELATIONS. But then again, maybe you already know it's a lemon and didn't even want to go there.in either event, if I were you, I would start looking for a new job. The more people who know how bad your site is the less money will be there to pay your salary or make an attempt to improve the site.

Here's some advice, make sure you don't use worktree.com. "Shhhhh (whispering). You'll get better results from indeed.com, careerbuilder.com, theladders.com... If you want more assistance, let me know and I'll let you know what I've used They produced great results and were much easier on the eyes."

Don't worry. Dissatisfied customers rarely ruffle feathers. They just tell a minimum of 10 people who carry on the oral tirade. Worse with the age of the internet. Not a threat, just a preview of what I'm getting ready to do as soon as I click "send".

Kim

My name is Samantha, Customer Relations Manager for WorkTree.com. Your email has been forwarded to me from the manager in support.

Unfortunately once you start a membership it cannot be canceled. Since this is a time based membership model which gives access to job and career resources... It's impossible to give members access to the WorkTree site and then refund the membership.

Please read and bookmark the detailed Member Support Center, it answers this question and possibly others you may have. It also outlines our policies and procedures which are strictly enforced.

Here is the link:
http://www.worktree.com/careerpages/member_help. Cfm

Our guarantee policy is clearly stated on the site prior to any payment and just for this reason. Our policy is that if you are not satisfied or have not found a job using WorkTree, then we will add an additional 90 days to your membership at no charge... We do not give money back refunds once membership has been granted regardless of time period.

Also, on the bottom of EVERY page in WorkTree.com is a link called "Pricing" which states the guarantee clearly as well.

Here is direct link to that page so that you may examine it:
http://www.worktree.com/careerpages/pricing. Cfm

However, your membership is important to us and we want to do everything within policy to help you.

I spoke to the manager about this and he authorized me to let you use any of our www.ResumeMessenger.com packages at NO CHARGE... And you can still keep
your membership active as well. This is a pretty powerful resume distribution service that job seekers pay upwards of $87 for daily... No charge for you.

Let me know if this interests you and I'll ask tech support to send you instructions on how to proceed.

Samantha Wilcott,
Customer Relations Manager,
WorkTree.com

Kim - PLEASE NOTE
=
Any denial of payment is sent to a 3rd party collections company as part of normal business practice. This means even if you contest the charges with your credit card
company, we still view it as a valid charge for membership and stand by our Terms of Agreement and will pursue the payment. As a reminder, everyone is required to read and agree to the Terms of Agreement by checking off the box next to it prior to ordering and if a person does not check this box, then their order will not get processed. This ensures that everyone who orders our service has fully read and understood our
policies and procedures.

I'm very disappointed with the service. I have wasted three hours attempting to find jobs via the download you provided with membership. It always comes up "not responding". Additionally, I am not pleased with your services. I want my money refunded.
