In April I ordered a Yamaha grand piano from ThePianoSuperstore.com and sent the requested 50% downpayment, the balance of which is due when the piano is delivered. This payment amounted to $4400.00 The piano was supposedly going to be shipped within 6-12 weeks. Since they received my money, I waited a month before I had any contact at all from them, and that only after I pestered several times. The partner shipping company, Wilcom Leasing, then made a cursory call with superficial information requests. I have regularly requested updates since then and have been stonewalled. NOW it appears that the telephone numbers have been disconnected and all related websites have been taken down. Neither Asaph Corporation, Wilcom Leasing or The Piano Superstore has a working website or telephone. I think I've been ripped off for my $4400 and I am contacting the North Carolina Attorney General's Office. Having now seen several other complaints about this outfit, I regret having put my trust in them. If by some miracle it all works out and I get my piano in good condition within the next two weeks, I might retract this alert.
In the meantime I recommend that anyone seeking a piano stay as far from these people as possible.
