After this company had waited a month for a cashier's cheque to clear (cashiers cheques are the equivalent of a money order) I called three times to make inquiries about where my laptop computer was without a return call to let me know the status of my order. I was told that they were still waiting for my cheque to clear. This is one month I've waited for a guaranteed cheque to clear.
Admittedly, by this time I was very frustrated and called the third time. The receptionist would not put me through to anyone except the person who was not returning my calls.
The receptionist cancelled my order even though I asked her not to and to send the computer.By this point I just told them to return my money (almost $1,500.00).
Today (a week later) I received an e-mail that I had a credit with their company instead of a refund. Yes, the very same company that was unable to deal with the order I'd already made. I'm so mad I'm shaking. It's a significant amount of money and the only way I can retrieve it is to apparently wait months while they try to send me an order. Oh, and to add insult to injury you can't call their 1-800 number from Canada and e-mailing them turned out to be impossible, although I did get answers to two questions I didn't ask.
I've already ordered another laptop from Apple (who had no trouble sending my order and they were a pleasure to deal with) so I don't need another.
Just wanted to pass this along. I tried to save a few bucks and ended up spending almost twice as much for a computer than I should have.
Buyer Beware.
