I submitted a request of a quote on 300 chair covers back in december of of 2007. Uslinen quoted me a price of $600 if I paid a $100 before 2008. I was please with the price they gave me so I sent in a check for $100 to hold the rental. They communicate mostly via email and fax. I received a email confirmation from them stating they received my deposit. My wedding reception was on March 15th. The fist week in Feb I sent in the balance of $500 via money order. I after a week I didn't receive a confirmation from them so I called and a man their by the name of Dave with the account manager Claudia in the background stated they had not received it yet so I waited and called back the following week and asked if they received it yet. Dave once again told me no.By this time my event was close and I knew I couldn't get chair covers anywhere else at that price so I decided to put a tracer on the money order and I sent in another $500 to them via certified mail.
A couple of days went by and I had not gotten a confirmation but I did track the certified mail tracer and I noticed they did receive it. I called the company and Dave told me they did receive it but still had not received the 1st money order so thought maybe it was lost or stolen in the mail and I could get my money back once I traced it. Well I received the 300 chair covers the Friday before my reception. Most of the chair covers were torn and very stained. Our wedding coordinator was very upset about it but we had to use what we had. The monday after my reception we received the copy of the endorsed money in the mail. The money order was cashed by uslinen prior to me calling to see if they had it. I called the company and told them this and Dave took my number and told me he'd call me back. He never did. I called him 2 more time trying to be patient and he asked for my number 2 more times and still never called me back. So my husband called and asked them what was going on and told them we were upset because they were blowing us off. Dave told him to fax a copy of the endorsed order. I faxed and emailed it to them. When we called he said yes we can see that we cashed it but we only received that 1 payment.By this time, I was pissed.
I decided to contact the Better Business Bureau and I noticed that they have over 30 complaints against them. I wish I had looked that up prior to renting from them. I stated what happened in the complaint and uslinen's answer is that we have proved that we did send in the one payment but they needed proof of the second payment. Now this was the one I sent certified mail. They stated in an email that they do not keep copies or records of checks coming in they just deposit them. If they call themselves a company, who is keeping their books? I sent a rebuttal to BBB about this and uslinen never answered so they closed my case. So in the meantime I put a tracer on the second payment and again received the copy of the endorsed check in the mail. I faxed an emailed both copies to them. My husband called them after I sent them off. They told my husband they were sorry and would put my payment in the mail. That was on April 15th. We never got a payment from them. So at the end of April I sent them a final demand for payment letter asking what their intentions were. They immediately called my husband apoligizing again saying their business had been very slow and they would send my money sometime in May. Sometime in May??? This was my money!
I am extremely pissed at these people. We still have not received any money from them. On June 9th, Dave leaves a message on my phone stating they would send me a wire transfer and for me to send my routing number and account number in an email. I am not sure what type of company they are running but they need shut down immediately. I will continue to warn everyone until I receive justice.
