My husband and I purchased four wheelers and GE Money Bank was the credit card that was given to us. On 9/26/07 I made a payment over the phone (I tried to make the payment online, but their site was down). I was told it would take 48 hours to post and my payment was due 9/29.

The money was removed from my account on 10/1/07, but the payment hadn't been posted. I called the company on 10/6/07 to find out what the problem was, and they told me to fax a copy of my bank statement showing the money came out. I did so.

On 10/10 I called and the money still hadn't been posted. At this point I was told to send a copy of the cleared check, but they didn't have a fax number, so I had to mail it. I express mailed it and it delivered on 10/11. I called 10/16 to give them some time to process it, and I was told I never sent anything, so I faxed it to the number I was given.

On 10/16 I filed a complaint with the BBB.

On 10/22 I called and was told by a rep that they had received my check and my payment was posted, but the website hadn't updated.

On 11/26 I called because my payment still hadn't been posted and I was told I never sent anything. Keri also told me that they don't do payments over the phone (I have talked to her previously and she never said anything like that) and that Bank of America is not their bank, so I may have to get my money back from my bank because GE Money didn't deposit my check. She told me to fax a copy of the cleared check to her attention. Molette Speed finally answered the BBB and said I used their "Pay-by-Phone" service, but I have not sent a copy of the check, and if I would send a copy they would post my payment.

I'm at a loss. I send it and they say not that they didn't receive it, but that I never sent it. I have started faxing them daily a copy of the cleared check, along with the confirmation from the previous fax showing that I have sent it multiple times.

I have also filed a complaint with the Attorney General. Hopefully if GE doesn't take care of this problem themselves the Attorney General can motivate them to post my payment.
