I had my interview with Mark Kernan of the Titan Group June 19. This is truly a door to door selling of discounted products and you will never see any sports teams working for them. Basically you are the dog on the ground with poor pay selling ads.
I returned a phone call from Jamie Trokey at the Titan Group on the June 18 since she had a few questions about my resume and I responded to the question "if I was looking for full time or part time work" as my resume covers this question (Looking for Full Time Work in detail) Personally I have a very proven sales and marketing record and know many people and business in the Saint Louis area. My feelings working with professional sports teams would be fun and fit me since I am a sports junky and very rewarding to me financially. After this phone call I did what every person should do a research the company and collect all information I could before the interview with Mark Kernan. My results put me to complaint and I started on a little low after reading want people have posted. After walking away for the computer I thought I should just have some fun and get a free interview since it was close to home.
It's interview day and I show up 30 minutes early for my Noon interview. While waiting I started talking to a few others and noticed the Jamie Trokey was on the phone leaving the same phone message to others as I received from her "that they had a few questions about the resume". When a person returned a call Jamie would ask if they were looking for full or part time work and would say "GREAT we are wanting to end our interview process soon and what is the soonest day you could get here". Now it's around 12:15 and the room is packed full of people from every walk of life for the same job. I told myself that I am way over qualified for this and I now could have a little fun.
For many years I have sat on the other end of the interview and knew my name was about to be called and just watched Mark Kernan as small little person with a hot headed attitude walk in and out with people. It's now show time and I let Mark tell me what they do and how they are only taking 5 or 6 people and out of all the people they are taking he will call them tonight between 5:00- 7:00 P. M and I should stay next to my phone. Before ending with the worst interviewer on the earth knowing they are looking for suckers to be dogs I started asking a few questions about how they market and sell. Mark had a very hard time answering them and my last question I knew would be the ender of this scam. Mark I must let you know I researched the Titan Group before this interview and people had not said some nice things about this company. The little man grew smaller and quickly ended the interview after this. I wonder why and I wonder why my phone did not ring tonight!
I could start a business like this overnight placing AD's on the Internet and hiring people that have no business backgrounds, experience, or just fresh out of college to walk around and make nothing for hard work, but could never since I care about people. If you want apply with them and when you find out please write about them and be human in helping another citizen out. I plan to also notify the Cardinals and other sports teams listed about this and point them to this site for review. This is wrong and I feel that any professional in business would take a pass on Sport's Plus and The Titan Group.
