Private detective online is a scam. I chose this particular online detective because I noticed it was in my home state, had an address and ph # should I need to call. After I filled out all the info. Plus my cr card # and was charged $29.95 for the fee. Once you put in you name and password you are ready to start.
But then you can't get into the site to start your service. After several tries you go to the place that says "Forgot your password or name" although I knew I had'nt forgot as I had a card in front of me that I had written it on. I keep a card file for all my internet info. So you wait & wait for them to email you and you never get an email.
By this time had a feeling I was being ripped off so I called the ph # given on the site and all I got was a fax sounding noise. So then I call information to try and get a ph. Number on this company and there is'nt one.
I do my own detective work and find that that particular # belongs to a fax for a Car Wash with the same address that the privatedetective online.
I checked with BBB and the Waterworks Car Washes, INC seems to be reputable but I feel it is a FRONT For this internet RIP-OFF and all it said about Web Technologies was the company has an unsatisfactory record with the bureau due to one or more unanswered complaints regarding dissatisfaction with the company's service. Seems to be no real address for the Web Technologies except this car wash. And I called them and OFCOURSE THEY NO NOTHING ABOUT THIS.
Web Technologies is what shows up on your credit card when they get your $29.95 and most credit card companies can't help you until it actually posts on your statement and by that time someone already has your money.
Of which you'll probaly never see again because most Credit Card companies won't do anything unless it is over $50.00.
So all the people who are charging these fees know this too.
I hope this helps just even ONE person not to make this mistake and that someone would catch theses thieves.
If anyone wlse has hd dealins with this company I would like to know their expierence or what they might have found out.
