I was in the need for a web designer, so I posted my job on guru.com. Elson Belmont, a freelance designer, bid on my project, he also goes by Antonio Belmont and his partner Olga Belmont. He sounded good, and had some history, so I hired him for the job, and sent him $1,100 to start. Then after, all I got was ENDLESS DELAYS and lots, and lots, of stories. I received so many EXCUSES, it was ridiculous. Every day, another excuse. He will claim to have completed your site, but never give you any results. I have been waiting for the logos and demos for my website supposedly being designed by him, and his firm "New York's Best Kept Secret" for weeks. I believe this firm to be fake and non-existent. I want to make sure that no one else gets SCAMED by this man. His guru.com profile ID is: 843151- His myspace profile is: myspace.com/buzzingmyspacepg His email is [email protected] He claims www.mvpfreelance.com is his company website, but it also does not exist. With my experiences, I strongly suggest AGAINST hiring Elson/Antonio Belmont. If he ever produces the work I hired him for, I will remove this complaint. Until then, no one deserves this headache and overall SCAM, please pass the word along. This is a current and very valid freelance web designer scam!
