Around June I recieved a call from a telemarketer promising to decrease debt by negotiating with creditors to lower interest rates o credit cards saving me at least $3000.00. It cost me $695.00 to open an account with Debt Freedom but it seemed legit and I did the math. Had my interest rates been lowered, I would have saved a lot more than I spent but nothing happened.
After about three months, I called customer service requesting a refund. The Rep told me I would have to fax a copy of all acounts that I had listed showing zero balances on my credit cards and then they would refund my money.
By Feburary all accounts were at zero and I faxed the paperwork to them. I was told that my refund was approved and that I would recieve it in 14 to 21 business days. It's been two months and still no refund.
I've called the same customer service number, 866-620-3350, and now I get a busy signal. It's been like that for 2 weeks. I've emailed customer service and no response. I just want my money back and if this is a scam, I hope Justice revels.
