I ordered a funeral arrangement, which did not meet expectations at all. It was to include at least 4 dz roses, greenery and vines. I counted less than 2 dz roses few filler greens and no vines. This was listed at $325 for the full price. I did sign up for the "rewards" program, which gave me 50% off.
This was quite embarrassing, as I had collected money from classmates to have a very nice arrangement at the funeral home.
I have contacted customer service no less than 8 times by email, chat and phone with only rudeness and the run around. The phone call I made ended with "Ashley" hanging up on me while I attempted to speak with a supervisor. She would not connect me nor would she provide the name of a supervisor. She also would not speak to the alleged money back guarantee. I want to make it perfectly clear that I was not rude but I was very firm with Ashley. I also did not use inappropriate language which would give her just cause to end the conversation.
The site states clearly: "every order carries our 100% money back guarantee". The last contact I received today stated that because I did not contact them within 2 weeks my complaint was not valid although the website states nothing about a time limit. The order was documented on Jan. 16; my first email contact was Feb. 3. Ooops for me, almost 3 instead of the 2 weeks. The phone contact, Ashley, was argumentative and rude asking why I didn't call the day of the funeral, why I waited so long etc etc etc. I felt that I had been spanked on the phone.
To the ex employee: I do think that you are 50% correct about the rewards program, however, I cont. To get emails stating that my order will be 50% off. If you process another order it does not give you the 50% off. I also feel that the rewards program is not all that great. They have premium coupons and are only allowed 4 per month. My employer gives better discounts than this program so it's not beneficial. I also feel that the program is a little confusing and easily misunderstood, which I'm sure they don't care.
Ex employee: don't you feel that there is a negative force in this company? I have seen many complaints about the behavior of the customer service people on other sites and have they been fired? If I treated people in that manner I would be fired on the spot at my place of employment.
I feel that their customer service is abusive at best; they misrepresent their products and essentially lie about the guarantee.
Also, is there really a CEO named Donald Mayer?
