We called Dell in Jan to order two computers - a desktop and a laptop. We have received both of them and like them very much. The problem is that the salesperson lied and said we would have ten months to pay off the computers with no interest. The first bill came in and we paid the minumum payment. The second bill came in and we saw that interest (and a very high one) had been added plus $9.95 had been added for deducting the payment from my checking account.
I called the company, and after going through I don't know how many automated answering devices, I finally connected to a foreign woman whom I could hardly understand. She said "I am sorry for the inconvenience." Inconvenience? It was a lie, plain and simple, just to make a sale!
If anyone ever wants to buy a Dell computer, don't buy directly from Dell. Go somewhere, like Wal-Mart or Best Buy and pay cash.
We learned the hard way!
